3 EASY STEPS: THE BEGINNING OF A DISCIPLINED MIND (PART TWO)

"The successful warrior is the average man, with laser-like focus." ~Bruce Lee

Mindset is everything. It is the cradle for change or can be used as a weapon of destruction. The health of an individual can be found in how they perceive and interact with the world.

The last post, I talked about the ups and downs experienced on my journey to well-being; it's been a turbulent affair. Adopting new behaviors not only requires a new mindset, but also the ability to create a vision and stick-to-it.

I know, easier said than done.

What the heck is a vision and why it must resonate with you first?

A vision is an ideal scene of how we would like to see ourselves, our family, or our business. It's calling those things that are not as though they are and working to manifest what is in our mind into reality. Everything in our environment started with a thought/vision and then was created into existence.

My vision of well-being began once I found purpose within. It was not enough for me to say I wanted to be thin. Thin is relative and arbitrary as it can change daily. This created the ups and downs of my commitment to change. One day I was on point at the gym and the next on the couch eating Cheetos with a Dr. Pepper.

So what will it take to create a vision and stick-to-it?

  • Get clear. Clarity is KEY. One cannot move forward until there is certainty about what is wanted.
  • Real talk. We can't do this for our momma, dad, or any other person. Our vision is created by us and for us alone.
  • Think BIG! Create a vision that is bigger than you! Shit, if it scares you - perfect!
  • Get fearless. Change never happens when we are comfortable. Uncertainty is always present when striving towards something new and big.
  • Tolerate discomfort. Hell yeah, it's going to feel strange or scary when we're manifesting our vision. Learn how to push through and keep moving.
I dug deep within to create the vision I now see. My well-being is directly connected to my children. I knew that if I didn't start taking care of my health now, I would burden my children in the future. I know I must be strong and able as I age. The by-product of my efforts is the image of a hot momma!

Lastly, meditate on that shit day and night. Feel it and see it. For instance, I see "her" in my mind. I can feel her strength and observe her tenacity. My vision is alive and walking with me every day.

This post is long enough and there are many areas within to cover. Thank you for reading. I appreciate you and honor the light within.

TTYL,
Sisu
